Elite Model Look

Elite Model Look is a yearly contest organized by Elite Model Management, to discover new supermodels.

Elite Model Look was launched in 1983 by the John Casablancas, who was the boss of Elite at that time. Back then it was still called the 'Look of the Year'. Meanwhile, this contest became the largest event in this area, with a lot of publicity worldwide. This is partly due to the many talents that are discoverd. Gisele Bündchen, Cindy Crawford, Wendy Dubbeld, Karen Mulder Frederique van der Wal and Linda Evangelista all started their career with the Elite Model Look.

The Netherlands is one of the most succesfull countries in this pageant. The Netherlands have already won 5 times.

In 1985 became Frederique van der Wal the first dutch girl to win this competition. Frederique is second from he right.
