Brigitte Bergman...

She was "just" first runner-up at the Miss Holland 1983 pageant but is one of the few girls to represent Holland at all the big pageants at that time. The first time we read something about Brigitte is in 1983 when she entered the Miss Panorama pageant but failed to make the finals as she ended first runner up at her preliminary pageant.

Being the first runner up at the Miss Holland pageant she was send to Osaka to represent Holland at the Miss International pageant. Brigitte became a semi-finalist in Japan.

In 1985, after the scandal with the nude pictures of MIss Holland Pasquale Somers, Brigitte was asked to replace Miss Holland at the international pageants. She went to The Miss Universe pageant (Miss Photogenic award), Miss World, Miss Europe (second runner-up) and the Most Beautiful Girl in the World pageant (semi-finalist, picture below with David Hasselhof)
