Sheryl Lynn Foundation

On june 18th 2006 Sheryl Lynn Baas became Miss Nederland 2006. The crown gave her the opportunity to start the Sheryl Lynn Foundation.

The foundation operates in the Philipines, mainly on the island of Leyte. Sheryl Lynn is the daughter of a dutch father and a philipino mother. The biggest succes of the foundation so far is the building of the elementary school in Hitoog. Every year there is a benefit event for this foundation. Benefit Event 2010...

On friday march 19th we from Miss Holland Now went to Capelle aan de IJssel to attend the benefit event for the Sheryl Lynn foundation in restaurant " 't Hooghe Water". We were greeted by Sheryl Lynn herselve who we hadn't seen since the photoshoot for the "12 Months of Beauty" calendar in 2008.

At the opening of the evening Sheryl Lynn showed the audience pictures of the elementary school in Hitoog which is now finished and operating. The SLF has big plans for future projects in the Philipines.

Together with several beauty queens we had a lovely time. We saw some of the beauty queens trying to dance the Tinikling, a traditional philipino dance, without high heels.

We from Miss Holland Now were the lucky winners of three pairs of white sport socks at the lottery.
